Buddy Bradley shaped legends from Balanchine to Robbins. A group of dance artists heads to the Library for the Performing Arts to discuss the influence of the innovative jazz dancer and choreographer along with live demonstrations.

Alexei Ratmansky’s profoundly moving Solitude returns on a stylistically diverse program alongside Christopher Wheeldon’s streamlined Continuum and George Balanchine’s charming Bourrée Fantasque.

George Saunders’s Booker Prize–winning novel arrives at the Met in operatic form, with music by composer Missy Mazzoli—hailed by The New Yorker as a “once-in-a-generation magician of the orchestra”—and libretto by Royce Vavrek.

Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra explore the enduring connections between jazz and the African diaspora. Featuring selections from three of Marsalis’ original suites with guests Pedrito Martinez and Weedie Braimah on drums, and vocalist Shenel Johns.
