Moments that move you

This week, Jeremy Nedd kicks off the inaugural Lincoln Center Contemporary Dance Festival and Omari Wiles performs the first of many Dance Encounters on Hearst Plaza. La Tribu de Abrante brings a 12-piece salsa orchestra to The Dance Floor and Carl Hancock Rux leads a multidisciplinary Juneteenth performance. All this to say, there are many ways to be moved this week. Where will we see you?

The high-energy movements of Dance Church® offer a dynamic cardiovascular workout that also helps build muscle and releases mood-boosting endorphins, according to Dr. Corey Bradley, a cardiologist at NewYork-Presbyterian and Columbia. Then stop by Ngano: Storytelling through Song with Dr. Tanyaradzwa, to experience a family-friendly, immersive musical experience that Dr. Nicholas Harris, a pediatric neurologist at NewYork-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell Medicine, says engages the brain to support focus and attention.
